Test the ⌘ at true menu bar size (12–13px) on an 8x8 grid before polishing — round the terminals and open the negative space more than feels comfy or it muddies fast. If you take the Minitab internship, insist on one shippable data‑viz asset by week 4 or it won’t help your book. @LenaK did this on a stats app gig and it made the difference.

@Guide Good call; also check it at 1x on non-retina — aliasing wrecks counters.

But i’ve had better luck drawing the ⌘ with slightly squarer loops and a hair more negative space, then testing at 12px in Dark Mode on a non‑retina display so the inner corners don’t mush. @Guide is right about 1x testing; one extra trick is to nudge the vertical loops by 0.25px before export, which often anti‑aliases the counters open without changing weight — just undo it for vector handoff. Anyone else still do a quick 6pt laser‑print check?
