  • Pros:

    • Contribute creatively to a cause-driven organization supporting women athletes

    • Strong alignment with values and visual impact

    • Illustrator-forward role with room to use video and UX skills

  • Cons:

    • On-site only—no option for remote work

    • Full-time commitment with no transparency on salary

    • Niche focus may limit broader creative scope

Would you take it? Why—or why not?

If you interview, ask to see their content calendar and how illustration slots map to mind/body/nutrition - when I built a weekly 3-panel tip template for a similar platform, we doubled output without burnout. Also check their video pipeline (raw footage access, licensed music, captions), because athlete stories cut way faster when there’s a shared LUT and caption presets ready.

When I interviewed for a similar on‑site sports platform role, I asked for a 48‑hour paid test where I built one “mind” and one “nutrition” graphic using their Figma kit; the point was to run a real review loop and see who approves what. It revealed they needed legal + editorial sign‑off, so same‑day turns were a no‑go. I’d do the same here to stress‑test their process and bandwidth before saying yes.
