Why some portfolios get instant callbacks

I review hundreds every month as a creative recruiter, and the ones that get interviews nail the story: clear role and constraints, tight problem-process-impact case studies, fast load, and an obvious contact/CTA. Got any go-to resources or templates that teach this (Notion/Readymag/Semplice how-tos, solid before/after writeups, standout examples) so I can point candidates to something concrete instead of the vague “make it cleaner” feedback?

Ugh, slow loads kill great work — I switched to Readymag and follow Semplice’s case study flow: a 3-line TL;DR (role, constraints, impact), then a simple before/after and a 60s scroll video. I send candidates to Semplice’s case study articles and the Notion Product Design Case Study template, and make the CTA a fixed “Book a 15‑min chat” at top. Want a one-page Notion duplicate I use?
